Bauer Vapor APX One-Piece Composite Stick

The highly anticipated, all-new Bauer Vapor APX stick is set to launch this Thursday, October 6th. Early feedback on the stick is excellent, and excitement and expectations have only been heightened by the recent addition of Alex Ovechkin to the Bauer APX team. Like Bauer’s previous top-model Vapor X:60, the APX is a true one-piece composite stick (many a “one-piece” twig on the market are not, in actuality, a true one-piece construction.) By comparison to X:60, the APX does share the same Micro-Feel II shaft, with rounded corners and double concave shaft, but the APX is actually lighter and stronger than the X:60 was. This is largely a result of removing excess materials like overlapping layers, resin, and foam waste.

Bauer has also incorporated a re-enforced epoxy core in the APX blade that has seen great success in their Supreme TOTALONE stick. This provides stellar feel, stickhandling, and pass reception. In terms of overall performance, a dual kick flex profile provides quick release on wrist shots and snappers, including a new, higher second kick point, making the APX very effective for slappers and one-timers as well.

The stick also looks awesome- for sure one of the cooler looking sticks hitting the market this fall. The APX is going to be immediately available in GRIPTAC in Junior, Intermediate, and Senior models, as well as a non-grip matte finish shaft for which there will also be a Youth model available. Feel free to come by The Shop on October 6th or any time after that and try out the Bauer APX stick in our Stick Demo Zone, complete with official size net and synthetic ice!
